I/O units (input/output units) constitute the logical extension to and the modular expansion of the control units. They expand the number of inputs and outputs, offering special functions for your machine or system. Via CAN-bus, the cable wiring and harnesses can be simplified and minimized in the mobile working machine. The I/O units can be placed close to the actuators and sensors they shall serve, where the position in the machine can be set via specific hardware codes and each I/O unit’s configuration can be done via software.
