SMX.igs-e Inclination and Gyro Sensor
IMU and Inclination Sensors
Measurement of the inclination of one axis or two axes, and measurement of acceleration and angular velocity in 3 axes.
ABOUT SMX.igs-e Inclination and Gyro Sensor (SMX-Can)
The robust inclination sensors of the SMX.igs-e series offer the functionality of an inertial measurement unit (IMU). Acceleration and rotational velocity are measured in all 3 spatial axes. The sensors also provide inclination values in one or two dimensions (360° or +/- 90°).
To improve the stability of the measured values, various configurable filter algorithms are included in the sensor. In addition to the classic low-pass filters such as Butterworth and “critically damped”, a Kalman filter can also be activated for dynamic applications. This makes them very suitable for use in dynamic applications such as mobile machines.
The sensor transmits the measurement data to the control system via a CAN, CANopen or SAE J1939 interface.
Protocol and measuring range can be freely selected.
